On a scale of 1 to the Furai burning to a crisp, how sad is this?

I sure hope this dude at least bought two and only mothballed one of them...

I didn’t know Doctor Jones had a GT.
Geez, Indy, live a little.

Or it could be that a guy ordered the car, died before it was delivered, and his children, or spouse, kept it as a memento for the last decade.

Dang it............poor GT would love to be driven and not a garage queen.

Depends how much of a CP it is now.

I'm guessing the odds are in my favor, unless you know something I don't.

This is way beyond garage queen!

I’m not saying it’s not smart, just sad. He’ll surely double his initial investment.

Quick! Someone buy it for me. I’d drive the piss out of it!

1.6 MILES?! 1 fucking mile?! Does this guy like live on the assembly line? What the fuck?

These cars are meant for people like us.one can break it in and thrash it like it's new.

True, but there is always a possible alternative explaination. That said, if I had a Ford GT, it would have had a much more enjoyable life than this sorry thing.

somebody’s investment

People like that are one of the worst things about car culture. Fuck whoever that guy was. And I mean it. Someone out there wanted to enjoy this car and his greedy ass self just left it to collect dust somewhere unloved

Poor gal. Based on personal experience, those engines do not do well when sitting. That car should NOT be started without pulling out the engine and trans, cleaning up the ‘oil’ that is left inside, since its probably still mixed with assembly lube, and performing a couple of recalls while in there anyway.
I can only hope someone familiar with that car goes over it before the starting attempt... that transmission is unobtanium for a lot of parts :<

Good-glad hes selling it. Hope he got what he wanted-a shit load of money. He deserves it-he had the money and clout to buy one in the first place- and all he had to do was pay to store it for 10 years. It was all about making a buck + he did. He isn’t a car person. And most likey the person buying it isn’t either. Anyone willing to pay for “the lowest mileage Gt40" isn’t buying it to enjoy how it drives-hes buying it to have a “better” one than all the others out there. Theres plenty of Gt-40's for sale-between $250-$300k. “But this ones never been driven.” Yea. Good for you....

Doubling his investment in 10 years really isn’t all that impressive. An index fund would have done that for him.

Oh those poor seals. Not good for the components.

Furai burning to a crisp kind of sad.

And it still would've appreciated plenty if he'd driven it.

No true “car guy” would do this... Purely speculative/greedy.

Right up there, but at least, hopefully, the 2nd owner will enjoy it like it should be. Am afraid that this one’s doomed to a museum, though.
